BUILDING CODES ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF MAYFIELD HEIGHTS:

COMMERCIAL:
    2017 Ohio Building Code (OBC) - Based on 2015 (IBC)
    2017 National Electric Code (NEC) 
    2017 Ohio Plumbing Code (OPC) - Based on 2015 (IPC)
    2017 Ohio Mechanical Code (OMC) - Based on 2015 (IMC)
    2017 Ohio Fire Code (OFC)
    2017 Ohio Energy Code - OBC Chapter 13

RESIDENTIAL:
    2019 Ohio Residential Code of Ohio (RCO) (see 2019 changes below) (Based on 2018 Edition of the IRC)
    MEP's and Energy Code same as above.

2019 CHANGES TO THE RESIDENTIAL CODE OF OHIO (RCO):

The Ohio Board of Building Standards amended the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) Chapters 4101:8-1 to 4101:8-44 (rescind and adopt new) to comply with the five-year rule review and to update the current Residential Code of Ohio to reflect the 2018 edition of the “International Residential Code” with Ohio amendments.
