Refuse Collection

All refuse shall be picked up once each week on the day specified in this schedule. It should be placed within five (5) feet of the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the day of regularly scheduled pickup. City Rules and Regulations prohibit placing refuse on tree lawns earlier than 8:00 p.m. the day prior to regularly scheduled pickup.

Refuse should be placed in standard rubbish containers or plastic bags with a capacity no less than 20 gallons, but no more than 35 gallons, not to exceed 60 pounds in weight. Hedge cuttings, limbs and branches should be placed at curb on regular day of service for chipping. All furniture, household appliances and hot water tanks will be accepted on day of normal service.

Excluded Items: Broken concrete, dirt, automotive parts, large amounts of building materials or refuse caused by repairs, alterations or new construction of buildings or side walks, and refuse not placed in proper containers, bags or bundles will not be collected.

Collections are not made on the following days. These are the ONLY days recognized by Republic Waste: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day. In this event, collection will be delayed one day.
