K-9 Unit

The canine unit consists of two Belgian Malimois'. Each has its own handler and the dogs reside with them. Each canine is trained in the following areas:

• Narcotics detection
• Apprehension
• Building and field searches
• Crowd control

The canines are certified yearly in these disciplines by the State of Ohio. They are often involved with public relation work and demonstrations.
