Community Center

The following information is for Rental of the Community Center for a Private Party. Effective January 1, 2011

Residents 21 years and older may rent the Center. The Resident Permit Holder must be present the duration of event.

Residents will be asked to provide proof of residency at the signing of the permit. Residents will receive a copy of the City Ordinance in regards to the Use of the Ross C. DeJohn Community Center at permit signing. You may view a copy on line by visiting our web site at www.mayfieldhegiths.org.

Resident will be asked to provide the following information when calling to obtain a permit for use of the Community Center: Date of event; Purpose of event; Number of people expected; will you require use of the kitchen; Are you planning on alcohol? These answers will help us to determine which room will best meet your need and the cost of the centers rental. Please note all events offering alcohol and other events at discretion of the Mayor and/or Recreation Director will require a security guard to be obtained prior to the event from the City’s Police Department and paid $25.00 / hour on the day of the event. Resident may schedule 1 extra hour for set up & clean up at no additional charge when scheduled with the permit. It is suggested to split this hour into one half hour prior to event and one half hour after event. Please keep this in mind when determining your permit hours needed. Security deposits are the refundable portion of the rental cost and will be refunded in full when the center is left in the approved condition as determined by City representative. All permit contracts must be paid in full with the security deposit and room rate. Payments maybe made via cash, check, Visa, MasterCard or Amex. Once the resident has determined they want to use center they need to contact the Recreation Department for date availability, then give permit contract details and schedule a time to come in and make payment. You may do so by calling the Recreation Department at 440-442-2626 ext. 267.

Center Weekend Hours are:

Friday: 6:00 P.M. to Midnight

Saturday: 11:00 A.M. to Midnight

Sunday: 11:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M.

The Center is closed on observed Holidays and the last 2 weeks in December.

Rental Fees

Room D, which holds 100 people with a dance floor and 130 with out, has a Security Deposit of $100.00.
