Weather again played a huge part in this year's Unity Days, although it was the heat and not the rain this year. Friday night was hot, but the band was rocking. Bronx Country played awesome country sounds, as the weather allowed us to get in the entire night. And though it was a hot evening, the rides were packed, and food was being eaten. The bocce tournament was in full swing at the bocce courts, with Escape Plan performing at the bocce courts.
Saturday brought about more hot weather. East Wind performed to a nice crowd before fireworks. Jungle Terry brought smiles to many kids as usual, as did Dr. U R Awesome. The fireworks display was tremendous as always.
Sunday brought about even more hot weather. Our parade, led by this year's parade marshal Brian Brennan, stepped off to a enormous crowd, eager for candy and entertainment. There were plenty of music to send sounds out to hundreds and hundreds of those in attendance. The rest of the afternoon saw kids on rides, local vendors selling food, an end to the bocce tournament, raffle drawing and a lot of good times.
We hope that all that came out had a good time, and that everyone hopes that next year's Unity Days will be rain free.
