The mission of the City of Mayfield Heights and the Parks & Recreation Department is to work as a team in coordination with the Mayor, City Council, and the Parks & Recreations Commission to provide opportunities to enhance the quality of life for the residents and businesses of Mayfield Heights. Our goal is to provide activities and events that build unity and increase community pride in a safe and meaningful environment.
Thanks to the passage of Issue 9, promises made are being kept and we will be upgrading our recreation facilities. The conceptual plans for a new aquatic and community center were presented to the public on October 19, 2021. Additionally, the city received a TLCI grant from the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA), that made possible a comprehensive, city-wide study to identify long-term objectives for community connectivity via non-motorized trails. We are working to increase community pride with these new additions to the city. See this video explaining Phase I & II of the parks and pool project.
