The Parks and Recreation Department offers a wide variety of recreation programs for all interests, ages, and abilities. You will find information on programs, activities, and events on the left panel of this page. Programs and events primarily take place at City Park, Oakville Park, Wildcat Sport & Fitness, or the Mayfield Middle School.
Thanks to the passage of Issue 9, promises made are being kept and we will be upgrading our recreation facilities. The conceptual plans for a new aquatic and community center were presented to the public on October 19, 2021. Additionally, the city received a TLCI grant from the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA), that made possible a comprehensive, city-wide study to identify long-term objectives for community connectivity via non-motorized trails. We are working to increase community pride with these new additions to the city. See this video explaining Phase I & II of the parks and pool project.
